Moving, once again The past months have certainly not been boring for me. After four years in Berlin, I felt like it was time to move on. So a period of reading lots of job adds, replying to some, and doing video-interviews followed. Thankfully it did not take too long before an opportunity came along: … Continue reading Roast of sweet potato, chickpeas and chicken

Berat and Burek After two days full of rain in Montenegro, the sun had started shining when I crossed the border with Albania by bus. The driver of the minibus asked for the passport and Corona certificate of me and the only other passenger of the bus, and after handing that to the border controls … Continue reading Pumpkin and feta pastry

The meteorological spring started yesterday on this side of the world! Time to start dreaming of warmth and summer trips...
Last weekend it was time for a calçotada. A Catalan tradition that not that known in other places. Usual comment: "What are those burned things?"
Today is usually one of the biggest days for flower sellers. But although bouquets are nice, I much prefer sitting in between flowering plants outside, like bougainvillea and strelitzia (bird of paradise flowers).
I don't know about you, but I sometimes need some sweet treats during this cold winter weather.
Winter Wonderland at its finest! Semmering is just an hour drive from Vienna, but a different world all together.
