Spinach and Feta Stuffed Flatbread

Plans Clearly, things are not always going to plan. Originally the plan was to go to Iceland in May, a country I have wanted to go to for a long time. But of course, Corona came along, flights were canceled and the trip postponed to autumn. So what to do with this sudden week of … Continue reading Spinach and Feta Stuffed Flatbread

Baking and bakeries There are two things that come to my mind immediately when I think about Germany and food. One of those is the type of food you can find in the breweries and traditional restaurants: often a lot of pork meat, potato or bread dumplings, sausages... Basically all those dishes that are heavy … Continue reading Blueberry Banana Cake

Beer culture Germany and beer, beer and Germany... Two things that are definitely connected. The exact ranking depends on the statistics you read, but the country is in the top 5 of countries that consume most beer per capita worldwide. And it's certainly one of the only countries I know of where it's perfectly normal … Continue reading Beer and Pork Tacos

Changes This is one of those periods in life with a lot of changes. New job, new house, new city, new country, new people... End of September I returned to Europe from Canada. After visiting some friends and spending two great months with my parents I went to Berlin for a job interview. It ended … Continue reading Oven roasted sweet potato

Memories of the Mosel Federweisser & Zwiebelkuchen, this ultimate autumn combination alone is already a great reason to visit the wine areas of Germany around this time of year. One of these wine areas is the Mosel region, located along the river Mosel between Koblenz and Trier. Like most wine regions it is beautiful all … Continue reading Zwiebelkuchen

When traveling one hour by train feels like holidays...
Paella de mariscos (seafood paella). A dish that brings up so many discussions about traditions. All I want to add: it's still the best when cooked outside, if you ask me.
Good morning! Heatwave summer mornings in the south of Spain. For me the best mornings start with a morning run and a swim followed by breakfast; with a bonus of beautiful light.
Weekends are for discovering new places. Like Brno, the Czech Republic's 2nd largest city. They're mainly proud of saving their city from an attack by switching the clock one hour forward. But it's also just a pretty place to visit.
It's the longest day of the year today on this side of the world! Time for enjoying summer, preferably with good food and drinks. One of my many favourite light dinners is roasted fennel salad with oranges. So it was time time to write this simple dish down. Recipe via link in bio.
A town where the first known building is a temple for a sun god and where they have an urban waterfall must be a good place. Surely, Jajce and the nearby Pliva Lakes are special and great to visit!
