Beetroot risotto with goat cheese

Into the wilderness Waking up on the backseat of my rental car, I felt pretty cold. Even thermo clothes and my sleeping bag couldn´t hide this. But when I sat up straight the view from the windows was quite spectacular. The night before I had parked on top of a large hill with a view … Continue reading Beetroot risotto with goat cheese

Grape and walnut bread

Between the grapes I was breathing heavily and feeling sweaty when I finally made it up to the top of the hill. It was a warm day, and even though the cover of smoke from the bush fires dampened the hardness of the rays of the sun, it also made it difficult to breathe. It … Continue reading Grape and walnut bread

Time flies When I settle down somewhere and start working, it seems like the time suddenly passes by very fast. The past two months in the working rhythm in Montréal have honestly flown by. It seems to be a contrast to the two months before, traveling around Canada without a fixed schedule and having so … Continue reading Golden beet and carrot salad

Still, every time the distances are a surprise again. Going down from Québec to The Maritimes took a good part of a day. … Continue reading Meatballs with egg, artichokes and tomato

So, having canceled all the contracts and stored some boxes in a storage space in … Continue reading Spicy bacon and tomato pasta

The beauty of some man-made landscapes... The rice fields were one of my favourite things on Bali.
Such a typical sight in Vienna, the fiaker (horse carriages). Maybe one day I should try, now that summer seems to be here.
So looking forward for summer to come! But Australia in April was a good first taste of sunshine. Still dreaming of the beautiful view from the Tomaree summit.
I could get up early for this sunrise every day!
Tirta Empul Temple in Bali. The temple has a holy spring of which the water is used for purification. It was founded in the 10th century and is, for me, a truly beautiful place with a calming atmosphere - despite the other tourists.
Evening light after a warm spring day in the very dry south of Spain. Though one similarity with Vienna this time of year: beautiful blossoms.
